About the Sheep..

"Yeah, so I need a new pic."

I was born on a snowy morning in July of 1982. Alright, so maybe it wasn't snowing. Actually, I'm not even sure of the time of day. But it was July, and it was 1982. In 2000 I graduated from LHS which surprised a few people, and in 2004 I graduated from Juniata College, which didn't (although getting accepted did!). I've got a BA in English and Illustration, and if I could afford to go back and get another, I probably would. Undergrad majors are so much easier to decide than grad! One of these days, I'll figure out what I want to do, and go get my Master's.

I like art (dur), and I think the only major medium I haven't tried is oil paint. My favorite pencil is a Staedtler Lead holder(not mech. pencil; 9mm!) loaded with either B graphite or a colored lead. I like kneaded erasers because they double as a sculpting medium. Junk sculptures are loads of fun. I do a good deal of CG and Corel is my company of choice. Don't try to convince me Adobe is better, you will only be laughed at.

"Nia and Squirrel, hanging in my sleeve"

I also greatly enjoy the company of animals of all shapes and sizes, and some day I will have a giant farm that can support dozens of them. I will clear out the local shelters! That's the dream, anyway. For the moment, I am at an almost record low in the pet department. I have two rats (left), Nia (white/albino) and Squirrel (fancy, black hooded), and two cats, Storm and Baby, who will be pictured at a later date. I love puppies and lizards and goats and sheep, and I'll probably have them all one day. I don't mind snakes at all, but I don't think I could bear feeding them, so they won't have a place in my home. Sorry, slitherers!

In terms of computer activities, I spent more time than is healthy on the internet. I spend a lot of time in Elftown and can often be found in their and Elfwood's IRC channels, both of which I've opped at some time or another. BeerAdvocate and the My Opera Forums are two more sites I haunt, but mostly in a lurker fashion. I'm a bit behind on computer games because I only played the occasional MUD while in college, but I do like em. (And console games. Yum.) My computer gets much internet and arty love. To see what I'm currently using (and reading, and what not), check out the currently page.

Other than that, I'm a coffee, beer, and tissue snob, and I'm obsessed with sheep, fuzzy things, words, and the color green. The only thing I really and truly can't stand is intolerance, and I'm a pacifist. I don't know what else is relevant or matters -- if you think something does, or have a question, click that email link to the left and let me know.
